Handmade gear made in Bristol

Designed for hiking, travel and everyday carry.

Made to order using EcoPak, X-Pac and premium UK-sourced materials.

Practice meant designing and making more pouches than I could count, in an effort to perfect the techniques needed with the materials I wanted to work with.

Then came my first pack. Made from 500D Nylon and Lycra stretch pockets. I made several of these before being confident of the design and moving on to more technical fabrics.

One of the main areas of development has been the back of the pack. Perfecting the strap design and the comfort of the panel has been key to ensuring all my packs are good to go regardless of the activity.

Nash Packs started as I couldn't find a backpack that was exactly what I wanted!

I wanted something lightweight, durable, practical, built to last and not overloaded with features I'd never use or made from materials that wouldn't stand up to years of adventure. So, instead of settling, I decided to learn how to make my own.

What began as a hobby quickly became an obsession, spending hours researching fabrics and testing designs, unpicking mistakes, and sewing prototype after prototype. Every pack taught me something new, and with every revision I got a little closer to creating the backpack I had imagined.

My friends and family got fed up with receiving packs so I decided I should probably sell them instead.

Today, every Nash Pack is still designed, cut and sewn by hand in my workshop in Bristol. I don't run a production line or outsource manufacturing. Each pack is made individually using premium technical fabrics such as EcoPak and X-Pac, chosen for their strength, weather resistance and low weight.

I believe good gear should disappear into the background. A well-designed pack should be comfortable, dependable and ready for whatever the day brings, whether that's a weekend on the Moors, a multi-day hike, travelling overseas or simply heading to work.

Making everything by hand means I can focus on the details that matter and every pack is unique. Every seam, stitch and panel is carefully considered because my name is on every pack that leaves the workshop.

Nash Packs isn't about making thousands of backpacks. It's about making exceptional ones. I take pride in creating equipment that people can rely on for years, repairing rather than replacing whenever possible, and constantly refining each design through real-world use and customer feedback.

Thank you for supporting a small independent UK maker. Every order allows me to keep doing what I love: designing and building backpacks that are made to be used, enjoyed and taken on adventures.
