How it started…

Whilst having a bit of a clear out, I found one of my early packs. It was very interesting to see the differences between this and my modern ones! This one got quite a bit of use back when I made it and it’s stood up well but it was kinda basic!

It was made from X-Pac and 500D Nylon with some lightweight ripstop and lycra thrown in for good measure. The seam allowance was nuts with the inside binding not even coming close to the edges.

The straps were an older design and weren’t that comfy and also didn’t have very good foam inside - it was about 2mm and was basic foam, not EVA. I didn’t have any mesh fabric at this time so the back panel was made using 500D nylon, so that wasn’t too comfy either.

This one was around 20L internal volume so a bit smaller than my current Little Mis packs.

But it’s great to see the evolution of these packs!

Next up I am going to update this same pack, as it’s sat in a box for a while. Update the back panel and resew the seams with new binding, then it’ll get some more use!
